Portret van Zeth Wongor

Image ID:

Date:
03/06/2011
Location:
Wailebed,
Batanta,
Rajah Ampat,
West Papua,
Indonesia
Description:

Zeth Wongor is the head of the village Sioubri, located in the Arfak Mountains. Zeth is one of the first natives of West Papua, who started to guide around birdwatchers. Over the years he has become an extremely talented birdwatcher himself, and he seems to be gifted with a pair of eyes and tracking skills of which most of the western birdwatchers can only dream of.
On Batanta Zeth guided us around together with Shita Prativi, who organised our trip.
