Jamil and his grandchildren -
Jamil en zijn kleinkinderen

Image ID:

Date:

Location:
Nimbokrang,
Sentani,
West Papua,
Indonesia
Description:

This is Jamil, with his grandchildren in front of his house. Jamil was my birdguide for a few days, during my stay in Nimbokrang. On the other days, Jamil was very helpful to organise my birding trips in the surroundings. He is a fantastic person and together with Zeth, he is definetely one of the best birdguides I ever met.
Nimbokrang is typical transmigration village in the lowlands of West Papua. It is reached by a few hours driving from Sentani. This picture was made close to Jamil's house, where I stayed for nine days.
