Hawfinch, juvenile -
Appelvink, juveniel
-
Coccothraustes coccothraustes

Image ID:
2537
Date:
29/07/2010
Location:
Debrecen Great Wood,
Hungary
Description:

From time to time the forest birds seem to freeze and turn their head to look cautiously what is happening above them. This can happen when a bird of prey flies over or when a bigger bird moves through the forest canopy. As I was in a hide, my view was limited and I couldn't see was what was happening high above the Hawfinch's head.
