Young male. This is one of the most common and widespread Bird of Paradise species of Papua. It occurs between 1000 and 2000 metres above sealevel. The bird is mainly active in the canopy and the mid story, where it feeds on arthropods as well as food. Although quite common and pretty vocal, the bird itself is, as a lot of bird of paradise species, not so easy to observe decently.
